Can GG hair be bleached and dyed?

GG hair is silky and soft. It holds curls and can take heat very well. To maintain long-lasting vibrancy and prevent heat damage, we recommend using a heat protectant spray  before applying heat. Our hair can be bleached and dyed to any colour of your choice. We recommend that a professional bleach and dye your hair if you’re unfamiliar. 

Can GG hair be washed?

Our hair can be washed and blow dried. Please treat your wigs with care, like you would treat your natural hair (because it is natural!). Brush the hair before washing to remove tangles. Use good quality shampoo and conditioning products. Conditioning is important to keep it soft and manageable. Always wash going in downward motion. Wash you wigs gently and with care. Take your time! Do not squeeze the wig too hard when draining the water after washing. Apply curl defining cream on wavy/curly hair while it’s wet. You can also apply mousse to lock in the wave or curl in the hair. Our hair doesn’t require too much products, so please avoid using oil or heavy styling products on the hair. 

Can you swim with GG hair?

You can swim and go to the sauna with GG hair. Who could tell you it’s not your natural hair?! Detangle the hair properly and with care. Use a spray in conditioner. It is best however, to wash the hair after swimming to prevent smell. 

Does GG hair shed?

Any hair that has been manufactured to be stitched on a weft is entitled to experience minimal shedding which is absolutely normal. Remember, it’s like your natural hair, and natural hair sheds. Minimal shedding means that the hair will never have a noticeable or drastic decrease in its density or volume. However, proper maintenance is extremely important and advised. 

Maintenance – day

We advise that you comb/brush your hair every morning, while it’s installed on your head. Gently brush your hair from the ends towards your scalp. Starting from the ends keeps the pressure off the weft area and is a good way to maintain the longevity of the extensions. 

Maintenance – night

Avoid sleeping on wet hair. Sleeping on wet hair is known to matte hair which makes it very difficult to keep the hair the way you want. Make sure your hair is completely dry before you go to sleep. We recommend sleeping with a satin scarf and/or silk bonnet on for easy maintenance daily. Sleep with a lace head band on so your frontal install can last longer. 

Lace

Our lace is so thin and easy to work with. It melts instantly. Please avoid putting hair conditioner on the lace! This will cause the knots to loosen and then cause severe shedding.

How to correctly bleach knots

• Mix the bleaching powder with a 40-volume bleaching developer (Make sure the bleaching products cover every corner of the lace).
• Leave it on for 20 minutes. 
• Wash away the bleaching product with shampoo.

How long can GG hair last for?

GG hair can last for a very long time, as long as you maintain it properly. Treat it like you own hair and take very good care of it. Ideally, GG hair can last up to 3 years and more, depending on how often it is worn. 

What does Virgin mean?

Virgin means guaranteed unprocessed, free of any hair color or chemicals, retaining all cuticles in its original healthy state. Our virgin hair is the closest you will find to your natural hair.
